If you’ve bought a plane ticket or stayed in a hotel any time since about 1994 (ok, maybe a little later than that) you probably used a third party booking agent to at least look up fares or rates. Although the way airplane fares and hotel room rates are determined remain mysteries to most of us, it’s become a heck of a lot easier to travel economically when you have the Internet to help you plan. We’re probably not telling you anything you don’t know, so let’s start talking about internships at a company that you’re likely already familiar with, Expedia.com.

When we came upon Expedia’s Careers site we were astonished. It is, without a doubt, one of the best corporate jobs sites we’ve come across yet; moreover, Expedia might have the best corporate college recruiting site that we’ve seen yet. It leaves little work for us to do, so we’re going to tell you about the specific internships that Expedia is offering and give you a long list of links to start your research.

Expedia currently has 15 internships listed on their Student Job Search page, 9 of which are directed towards MBA students. For a full listing of internships, you just need to run a search with “Intern” selected as the position type. We’ve taken a look at all the non-MBA internships and listed them below. These internships have been listed for a while, so we hope that doesn’t mean that they’ve gone stale. Expedia doesn’t list any deadlines that we could find, so there’s no reason to think that these internships aren’t still open. Here they are: Product Associate Internship, Program Manager Internship (software), Project Management Internship (Content), Software Design Engineer Internship, and Software Design Engineer - Test Internsip. There’s also a position for a Statistical Modeling and Anaylsis Intern; however; Masters students are strongly preferred. You can give it a try if you’re exceptionally bright.

Most of the internships are located in Bellevue, WA which is the best American city for starting a new business and the 21st best place to live in the US. We know you won’t be moving there permanently, but since Expedia provides air travel and housing assistance for interns, the location shouldn’t hold people who are not from the Pacific Northwest from applying. By the way, you can apply straight from the internship/job descriptions that we’ve linked to. Now go enjoy Expedia’s awesome Career site!
