I’ve been known to give people a hard time for buying Fiji Water, but then to drink it myself. I drink a lot of water, and Fiji Water is some of the best, but it seems crazy to have water shipped half way around the world when we have some of the world’s best drinking water sitting in our toilets (and coming out of our faucets too). Still, there’s something to be said for enjoying the luxury of sipping water that comes from an artesian well at the edge of a primitive rain forest. If you’re going to drink bottled water, it might as well come from Fiji. It might be as close as you’ll ever get to the place.

Fiji Water Is Green

Not really. It’s crystal clear, but it’s hard not to have hesitations about drinking Fiji Water when you hear on the news that drinking bottled water will cause the end of human life as we know it. Not only is the water in plastic bottles, but its shipped thousands of miles. So why is Fiji Water green? You can find out at FijiGreen.com. Essentially, they’ve taken 4 steps to ensure that their business doesn’t have an adverse environmental impact. They’ve committed to being carbon negative (that’s better than carbon neutral), they are working to save the rainforest, they have reduced their packaging, and they are putting increased resources into recycling. Now that you can drink Fiji Water without a heavy conscious, you can also consider interning for them.

Internships in Fiji?

Yesterday we teased you with the prospect of internships en provence, and today we’re teasing you again. Fiji Water’s internships are in California or Arizona. Nice, but not Fiji. Fiji Water is currently offering 3 undergraduate internships that are presumably for the Fall semester (they were just listed last week). These are Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Intern (Tucson, AZ), Undergraduate Intern (West Los Angeles, CA), Graphic Design Intern. The Undergraduate Intern position has the description of one of Fiji Water’s MBA Internship (there’s also an Environmental MBA Internship), so we’re assuming it’s the same internship, but for an undergrad. It’s essentially a marketing internship with responsibilities in Brand Strategy Development, Consumer Promotion, Packaging Innovation & Development, Point-of-sale Marketing, Channel Management & Distribution, Public Relations, Events Marketing, and Advertising. These internships are unpaid, and you can apply online from the individual job listings.
