Iconoculture was the second company that we ever featured on One Day, One Job. We were struck immediately by their “cool factor,” but somehow overlooked them when we started covering internships. What we love about Iconoculture is that they’re all about finding and following trends. By remaining in touch with what’s in fashion across the world, they bring their customers (businesses) closer to consumers.
The best way to get a sense of what Iconoculture does is to watch this video as an introduction, and then to browse the Iconoculture website. There’s a ton of information about them on the web, so doing research (which is great practice for an internship with them) should be pretty easy. Iconoculture is still posting internships for this summer, as we learned from their RSS feed of job openings. Right now, there are two internships - one in Taxonomy and the other in Global Strategy. If you’re going to apply, you better have some serious research skills. There’s no mention about whether the internships are paid, but we hope they are, considering that Iconoculture was named one of Inc. Magazines’ 500 Fastest Growing Privately Held Companies with a 1,205.2% 3-year revenue growth rate ($12.1 million in revenue last year). We do know that the internships are located at Iconoculture’s office in Minneapolis, MN, where most of their 105 employees work.
Another option for those of you who are going abroad this summer for work or fun, is their Cultural Fluent program. You can make some money and add something to your resume, while using your observation skills to relish in the culture that you’re visiting. You can read more about these positions in our post about entry-level jobs at Iconoculture on One Day, One Job. If you’re a marketing student who’s still looking for an internship, take a look at Iconoculture.

Final exams are getting close, and school is almost over. If you don’t have an internship yet, you’d be crazy not to subscribe.
