LTLprints Internships

Remember how in Saved by the Bell Zack Morris had a life sized cutout poster of Kelly Kapowski hidden under his bed? You have to admit that it was pretty cool. How the the heck a high school kid in the early 90s would get such acquire something like that remains a mystery though. If you want a life sized cutout of anything – a boyfriend or girlfriend, yourself, your favorite athlete, or something else – there’s a new startup out of Philly that can help you get what you want. They’re called LTLprints, and they make “larger than life” (that’s what LTL stands for) self-adhesive prints. You can stick ‘em on a wall, a cardboard cutout, or anywhere else that you want to. They could certainly provide some fun for the college dorm/apartment/frat/sorority.

Larger Than Life Internships

We found out about LTLprints and their internships when we did our daily Twitter search for internships. They are a startup that is yet to launch, so we don’t know a ton about them. They’ve posted all of the details of their internships on their blog, but we want to make sure that you have all the background information that you need to make sure that this is a legit opportunity.

If you haven’t realized it already, we really get excited about researching employers. Usually this manifests itself with a nice collection of links from the company’s website at the end of our daily posts. Since we can’t offer that today, we’re going to encourage you to get a little more creative with your research. If you look at the internship posting, you’ll notice that the contact is Kendall Schoenrock (you could also figure that out by using our LinkedIn “Do I Know Anyone At…” feature below). He happens to be the President and Co-Founder of LTLprints, so he’s the right person to be checking it out. A quick Google search of his name will turn up plenty of information (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, blog) for you to check him out and see if he’s someone that you want to be working for. We took a quick look and he seems like a cool dude to us, but don’t take our word for it, do the research on your own. It’s a good skill to have. (Kendall, you’ll probably read this at some point. Hope you don’t mind our telling everyone about your online personal brand.) Also, we found LTLprints.net which seems to be a different version of their website. We’re not sure what that’s about. The main site is at LTLprints.com.

Back to the internships. LTLprints is looking for Fall Business Development and Research interns to start ASAP. Interns at LTLprints will get “hands-on deal making experience and the opportunity to gain knowledge working in an incubator space with multiple projects,” and their tasks will include “creating databases, leveraging social networking sites (facebook, myspace, etc.), contacting group leaders, pitching, distributing press releases, compiling news clippings, and research.” They want college students in the Philadelphia, PA area who can work 10-20 hours per week for at least 12 weeks. You can apply by sending a cover letter and resume to jobs@ltlprints.com. The internships are paid, which is another reason to think that this is a legit opportunity. Maybe they’ll let you get a free “larger than life print” too – now that would be cool.

Hi Willy, Thanks for the link love and the fun review. Any help in finding us the perfect intern is greatly appreciated. To explain down the .net vs .com. Just like you’ve encouraged your readers to do their homework on me (or any future employer) we like to do our homework as well. We silently launched .net to do some marketing testing. That site does not really represent our look and feel and that’s why we have a coming soon page at .com Our primary site will launch in a few weeks.

I can’t wait to meet some of the great talent Philly has to offer. Talk to me!

Thanks again for the shoutout – with our talented team and the help of some great new interns, we will be bringing customizable prints to walls across the U.S. in no time.

@JP thanks for the heads up.

    Cheers,
    Kendall Schoenrock
