Do you think you’re cool? Why not try for an internship that will put your coolness to the test? PSFK is a consultancy and publishing company that specializes in “trends & inspiration.” Their story is inspiring to web entrepreneurs like us:
PSFK all began when two old friends, Piers and Simon (Fawkes and King) stopped emailing each other pieces of trend and idea news between New York to London – and instead started adding their observations on to a website called PSFK.com.
Somehow that site turned into a thriving business (we’re taking notes), and now they want to hire interns. They say that the position is for immediate hire, so you should already be in NYC if you’re going to apply. The length of the internship is 3 months, and they will be flexible in regard to your school needs. This does not appear to be a Summer internship, but it would be well worth your time to inquire about one. There are some things we like about this job posting (like including Flickr photos and talking about what their business actually does), but there are also some huge exclusions. There is no mention of what kinds of responsibilities the interns might have; in fact, there isn’t even any reference to field of interest. PSFK also fails to say whether the internship is paid or not; they only say that travel is paid for, whatever that means. They also say that they’d prefer an intern with experience. Hello? Why do you think people take internships? For the great pay?
Despite this, PSFK looks like a company that would be really exciting to intern for. Do some more research, and let us know what you find out.
