Have you ever heard of Daily Candy? The girls are probably nodding their heads yes, and the boys are probably shaking their heads no. Well, Daily Candy is a daily e-mail list “from the front lines of fashion, food, and fun.” We’ve always wanted to write about their internships, but unfortunately we’ve never seen any listed (and we’re always watching). Thrillist is the manly man’s version of Daily Candy. You’ve already learned that it’s a lot easier to have someone find cool stuff for you – whether it be internships, restaurants, or clothes – than to look for yourself. That’s why companies like Thrillist and Daily Candy are thriving.

Babes, Baseball, and Bacon

That’s not Thrillist’s tagline, but it might as well be. Thrillist has picked up where Daily Candy left off – men’s inboxes. They find cool stuff that they like, and write about it. There’s not much more to what they do, so if you want to entirely grasp what Thrillist is about, look through their vault (archive) and subscribe. If you’re really dying for more info, we did find these interviews with Thrillist founders (here and here), as well as some posts at Gawker about the daily e-mail for men.

Thrilling Internships

Thrillist is offering internships in four areas: Editorial, Sales, Marketing, and Design. The descriptions on their Jobs page don’t go into too much depth about what the internships will entail, but they do offer a list of tasks that the interns will be expected to complete. The internships are unpaid and seem to be part-time or full-time. They say that at the minimum they’d like interns to be in the office at least one day a week and to work 10-15 hours a week. We imagine they’d be thrilled to have you 5 days a week for 40 hours a week if you are willing. You can apply by e-mail – the addresses (which you can find with the job listings) depend on the position. If you love trend watching, or you just like cool stuff, Thrillist could provide a very cool summer internship experience.
