We’re not quite sure what the :: in thunder::tech is all about, but we’re intrigued. It kind of brings us back to the analogies section of the SATs (some of you are probably too young to have experienced that, since the College Board dumped analogies a few years ago); although, the SAT analogies were in the form of:
One Day, One Internship : internships :: ketchup : french fries
If you have a better analogy, we’d love to hear from you in the comments. We’d also love to hear from you if you know what the :: in thunder::tech is about. thunder::tech “is a web design shop, ad agency, PR firm, and design & branding studio all rolled into one.” They are an unbelievably fun company to research, and they have some great Fall internships available.
Here are 5 things that we really like about thunder::tech:
As you can see, they certainly have a good sense of humor at thunder::tech. They also have an awesome website, which makes sense, since web design is a big part of their business. Don’t be surprised if you waste (put to really good use doing research) half an hour on their site. It’s totally engaging, and we’ll be surprised if it doesn’t instantly make you want to intern at thunder::tech – even if you don’t have skills or a background relevant to their core businesses. As much as thunder::tech sells themselves as a fun place to work, they do actually work – just look at their awesome portfolio.
Right now, thunder::tech is looking for Fall interns in Graphic Design and Web Development at their office in Cleveland, OH. They already have a stack of resumes for the design position according to Twitter, but they still want to hear from interested applicants (that was as of 4 days ago). We don’t have any status updates on the Web Development positions, but we’re sure that they’d love to hear from you if you have the appropriate skills. thunder::tech’s internship descriptions are absolutely awesome. You can find those on thunder::tech’s Jobs page. They have an easy online application form, so head over to thunder::tech’s site and start wandering around so that you can convince yourself to apply. If you don’t have a background in design or web development, but you are interested in advertising, account management and operations, you could try entering your information into their application form (it’s the same for all of their listed positions) and see if they might have an unlisted internship for you. thunder::tech doesn’t seem like the kind of company that is bounded by convention.
